IAT has a conducive learning environment. Everyone I know, including those who gave me a recommendation to come and do my computer classes at IAT, feel appreciated. The first impression I was given at the reception made me do the application as fast as I could. I even pressured my dad to try and pay fees for the full term course (both ICDLI & II). The teachers are so patient that they were able to put up with everyone. We as human beings at some point expect some discrimination and intimidation from teachers because they at times get bored when being asked a question over and over again. As for IAT teachers, they make sure everyone understands and is able to co-operate. I decided to us the method of ‘Tell a friend to tell a friend’ so that I could be able to recommend as many people as I can to IAT. This is not only for them to study ICDL but also other courses like computer programming and other business courses.

I have always had a passion for business since I was young. DBICT has enabled me to be able to read and understand the books of accounts at the mini supermarket that I am heading. This course has opened up my mind and made me realize opportunities to do so many things. IAT is a good college relative to other private universities. This is because the Lecturers are willing to assist and caring. I have recommended IAT to several friends and three of them will join the Diploma course soon.

I am really enjoying the course, especially ICDL. It has been beneficial to me. The reception staff are warm and I highly recommend other students to study at IAT.
I completed my KCSE exams in 2012, I have been doing casual jobs and I am not sure what career I want to take. However, since I have been informed of the personality test at IAT that will match personalities to careers, I’ll come for the test to solve my dilemma

My relationship with IAT began immediately I finished my O’levels, I enrolled to do my foundation course in Computing (ICDL) at IAT Buruburu, I loved the experience and decided to do additional courses to enhance my skills in ICT, I did A+ and N+ as a beneficiary of a partial scholarship, so as soon as the institute started offering degree courses, my choice was obvious. IAT provides a conducive environment for learning. Classes are structured to make sure that you get the best out of a course.
The degree program I chose to pursue at IAT was BICTM offered in partnership with Maseno University, I knew I would get quality education from an institution that is focused on making sure that you excel and is awarded by one of the best public university in the country. The courses offered are flexible enough to allow you to study in the evening and on weekends. The Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology Management curriculum is one of the most progressive in the market and is designed to make sure that you are prepared to contribute to the vital ICT industry weather you are employed, seeking employment or running your own business.

My name is Thomas Oduor and I am a fourth year student studying a maseno degree course of ICT management at the Institute of Advanced Technology (IAT) Westlands Campus. I like IAT as the lecturers are very good and always available to answer any questions or offer asistance when u need it. The computer labs are open to students who may need to use them to sharpen any of their IT skills. The library is also full of books and magazines that are helpful to students. I continue to enjoy my time here at IAT even as I'm about to finish and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wishes to study in the field of ICT
